VITERBO UNIVERSITY CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES TO CONTINUE WITH CLARA AND LOUISE: OVER-THE-CLIFF CHAMBER MUSIC BY CLARA SCHUMANN AND LOUISE FARRENC NOV. 13 

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The music of two phenomenal 19th century women composers will be featured in the Viterbo Chamber Music Series event Clara and Louise: Over-the-Cliff Chamber Music by Clara Schumann and Louise Farrenc at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. 

Viterbo faculty member pianist Mary Ellen Haupert and violinist Nancy Oliveros will be joined by Twin Cities-based cellist Kirsten Whitson in performances of Clara Schumann’s Trio in G Minor, Op. 17 and Louise Farrenc’s Trio in E Minor, Op. 45. 

Other captivating works on the program include Louise Farrenc’s Sonata for Piano and Violin, Op. 39 and a set of Clara Schumann songs, performed by Viterbo faculty members Diane Foust and Judy Stafslien.
