LA CROSSE, Wis. – Actor, director, and motivational speaker John Pinero will portray the legendary Green Bay Packers coach as he presents his one-man play Vince: The Life and Times of Vince Lombardi at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Pinero is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has performed on stage, screen, and television for more than 20 years. He has appeared in the movies Fifty Grand, Pump Up the Volume, Voices, and King of the Gypsies, and the television programs Hunter, L.A. Law, Reasonable Doubts, and Days of Our Lives. He has also performed in numerous commercials and more than 100 theatre productions across the country.

Vince: The Life and Times of Vince Lombardi has received numerous rave reviews. Pinero even starred in ABC’s 2006 Super Bowl pre-game show.

Vince Lombardi took over a Packers team with a record of 1-10-1 in 1959. He would go on to win five championships in the 1960s, including the first two Super Bowls. He will live forever in Wisconsin and football lore.
