LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University’s show choir Platinum Edition and special guests will present an evening of great singing and dancing with their annual variety performance Celebration 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Celebration 2011 will feature an eclectic mix of music including Broadway, new and old pop, rock, disco, country, contemporary Christian, and even the popular Glee version of Singin’ in the Rain.

“This year’s Platinum Edition is very talented,” said director and Viterbo music faculty member Nancy Allen. “They have great energy and give 100 percent all the time. The show will also feature a great back-up band.”

Several of the numbers in the show were performed during Spring Break at the FAME event in Los Angles, so the show will have “a high level of polish,” Allen said.

Guest performers will include the Apple Annies, Logan High School’s Class Act, and Coulee Kids Choir.

“I really like the show,” Allen said. “It has high energy music and beautiful ballads as well.”

Tickets are $16 for main floor, $14 for lower balcony, and $12 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or
