The theme of this year’s event is “Invest in Your Health.” The event is free and open to the public and more than 40 local organizations are scheduled to attend, including Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, Gundersen Lutheran, Coulee Council on Addictions, and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of La Crosse.
“We have a number of new participating organizations and I’m very impressed with the quality,” said Sue Danielson, director of Viterbo health services and chair of the event. “A health fair is a great way to promote and offer education to employees, students, and community members about wellness and preventative medicine.”
The event will feature a BloodCenter of Wisconsin Drive, and participants can also learn about allergies and treatment options, receive spinal screening and foot scan, gets tips on becoming financially healthy, learn about advanced directives and organ donation, receive information on weight loss, weight management, and healthy food and nutrition, and view numerous other educational displays.
The event is hosted by Viterbo University and is co-sponsored by Magic 105 FM, State Farm Insurance Mike Noelke Agency, The Big Event Company, and COMPASS Prevention Network. For a full list of activities, screenings, and displays, visit www.viterbo.edu/healthfair.
