CRAICMORE TO PRESENT EVENING OF OUTSTANDING CELTIC MUSIC AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY MARCH 22
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The acclaimed Celtic band Craicmore will perform at Viterbo University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
With deep roots in the music of Scotland and Ireland, Craicmore plays traditional Celtic music. Craicmore features critically acclaimed vocalist Nancy Johnston and outstanding musicians John MacAdams, Sean FayeCullen, and Dave Champagne.
The band uses traditional Celtic instruments, accented with four-part harmonies, and rhythmic hardshoe dancing. They have toured for over eight years throughout the western states, and recently performed 14 concerts in Shanghai, China.
“Celtic music that touches the heart, mind, and soul,” wrote a reviewer for Flagstaff Live, an arts and entertainment weekly. “Drawing on Scottish and Irish roots, Craicmore enriches the tradition of joyful Celtic music.”
This performance is co-sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio and Franciscan Skemp Healthcare and by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
Tickets are $33 for main floor, $31 for lower balcony, and $26 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or boxoffice@viterbo.edu.
