VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO OFFER NEW MAJORS IN HEALTH CARE AND SUSTAINABILTY
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Continuing with its strategic plan to grow enrollment and promote academic distinction and student success, Viterbo University will offer four new majors in the growing fields of health care and sustainability beginning this fall.
“Our newest majors represent the perfect opportunity to expand in areas where Viterbo enjoys a strong reputation and they are very mission driven,” said Barb Gayle, Viterbo academic vice president. “As a Franciscan university, sustainability is very tied to our commitment to the stewardship of resources and the growing global demand for skilled professionals to work in this area. The majors in health care build upon the strong programs we have in nursing and other fields in the health sector.”
The new majors are:
- Health Care Science: This degree-completion program will be available through the School of Letters and Sciences as a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Health Care Management: Also a degree completion program, Health Care Management will be offered by the Dahl School of Business as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
- Environmental Sustainability: This traditional undergraduate program will be offered as a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree by the School of Letters and Sciences.
- Sustainable Management: A traditional undergraduate program, the sustainable management major will be offered as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree program by the Dahl School of Business.
In addition to the new majors, the Dahl School of Business will offer a certificate program in not for profit management, through the support of the La Crosse Community Foundation.
