VITERBO UNIVERSITY WINTER COMMENCEMENT DEC. 18
LA CROSSE, Wis. – One hundred and fifteen students will be candidates for graduation at Viterbo University’s winter commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Of the degrees conferred, 78 are undergraduate candidates, 32 are graduate candidates, and five are associate degree candidates.
Jan Janiszewski, chair of the faculty council, will serve as master of ceremonies, and Angela Jones, a Master of Business Administration student from La Crosse, will give the student address. Kathy Duerwachter ’10, Viterbo’s director of alumni relations, will give the alumni welcome.
President Rick Artman will confer the degrees and Barbara Gayle, academic vice president, will present the candidates. Diplomas will be awarded by President Artman and Mary Ann Gschwind, FSPA, chair of the Viterbo Board of Trustees. Sr. Gschwind will also provide congratulatory remarks and faculty member Rev. Bill Reese will give the benediction.
The day will begin with a Baccalaureate Mass at 9 a.m. in Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent. Most Reverend William Callahan, Bishop of the Diocese of La Crosse, will preside at the liturgy.
