LA CROSSE, Wis. – Oklahoma!, the classic American musical that launched the remarkable songwriting team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, will be performed in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13.

Featuring audience favorites such as People Will Say We’re in Love, Oh What a Beautiful Mornin’, and The Surrey with the Fringe on Top, Oklahoma! was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize, two Academy Awards, a Grammy Award, and special Tony Award. Set in turn of the century, the musical is the love story of handsome cowboy Curly and local farm girl Laurey amidst a high-spirited rivalry between farmers and cowboys.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! is presented by Columbia Artists Theatricals, who specialize in the distribution and production of commercial and theatrically staged live entertainment on a worldwide basis.
