VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO HOLD GRADUATE COMMENCEMENT JULY 16
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Three hundred twenty-six Viterbo University Master of Education students will spend Monday, July 12–Friday, July 16 on campus to present their research projects and complete the final requirements to earn their degrees.
Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. July 16 at the La Crosse Center. Viterbo’s director of graduate programs in education Rhonda Rabbitt will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Faculty member Tom Thibodeau will deliver the commencement address and President Rick Artman will confer the degrees. Former Wisconsin Teacher of the Year Leah Lechleiter-Luke ’02 will give the alumni welcome, and Board of Trustees Chair Mary Ann Gschwind, FSPA, will give the invocation.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Master of Education program and the 120th anniversary of teacher education at Viterbo University.
Area educators and members of the public are invited to join the graduate students for a presentation by Steve Gilliland, author of the book Enjoy the Ride July 16 from
9–11 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. Gilliland is one of the most in-demand and highly-rated speakers in the country. Recognized as a master storyteller and comedian, Gilliland helps audiences connect and relate as he demonstrates how to open doors to success in their careers, their relationships, and their lives.
