VITERBO UNIVERSITY SPRING COMMENCEMENT MAY 15

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Four hundred thirty-four students, 337 undergraduate, 90 graduate, and seven associate degree students will be candidates for graduation at Viterbo University’s spring commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at the La Crosse Center.

Jan Janiszewski, president of the faculty council, will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and Kelsey Lauer, a nursing major from Burnsville, Minn., will give the student address. Katie Rowan-Koenen ’82 will give the alumni welcome, and Viterbo President Rick Artman will confer the degrees. Chair of the Board of Trustees Mary Ann Gschwind, FSPA, will provide the congratulatory remarks. Faculty member Dorie Beres will give the invocation, and Fran Ferder, FSPA, will provide the benediction. In a special ceremony, Dorie Beres, Roland Nelson, and John Schroeder will be named Professor Emeriti.

A Baccalaureate Mass will be held that morning at 11 a.m. in the Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent. Rev. Robert Cook will preside at the liturgy.

The nursing pinning ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 14 in the Viterbo Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. The BSN Completion program pinning ceremony will be at 9 a.m. May 15 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.
