I MUSICI DE MONTREAL TO PERFORM AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY JAN. 31
LA CROSSE, Wis. – I Musici de Montreal will bring an afternoon of extraordinary music to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31 as the group performs the chamber orchestra version of the famous Mussorgsky piece, Pictures at an Exhibition. The program will also include Tchaikovsky’s Andante cantabile and Souvenir de Florence.
Founded by cellist and conductor Yuli Turovski, I Music de Montreal is a chamber orchestra of 15 musicians that present a vast repertoire of music from the baroque to the contemporary. Each season, they perform over 100 concerts throughout the world and have played in many of the world’s most prestigious venues.
I Musici de Montreal has released 43 CDs that have been distributed in more than 50 countries.
This performance is part of Viterbo’s Bright Star season and is co-sponsored by Dr. John W. Moore, DDS, S.C. and Kerrie A. Moore, DDS, Wisconsin Public Radio, and by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
