VITERBO UNIVERSITY WINTER COMMENCEMENT DEC. 19

LA CROSSE, Wis. – One hundred-thirteen students will be candidates for graduation at Viterbo University’s winter commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Of the diplomas conferred, 80 are undergraduate degrees, 32 graduate degrees, and one is an associate degree.

Jan Janiszewski, president of the faculty council, will serve as master of ceremonies, and Jeremy Day, an arts administration and music theatre major from Spencer, will give the senior address. Shawn Sackman ’99, will deliver the alumni welcome. President Rick Artman will confer the degrees and Marlene Weisenbeck, president of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, will give the benediction. Congratulatory remarks from the Board of Trustees will be given by Mary Ann Gschwind, FSPA, Chair of the Viterbo Board of Trustees.

During a special presentation, the university will confer the title of Professor Emeritus on long-time faculty member Darrell Pofahl.

The day will begin with a Baccalaureate Mass at 9 a.m. in the Maria Angelorum Chapel at St. Rose Convent. Rev. Robert Cook will preside at the liturgy.
