LA CROSSE, Wis. – The D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership at Viterbo University will present a screening of the critically acclaimed film The Human Experience at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
A discussion with film producer Michael Campo and actor Jeffrey Azize will follow the film. The event is free and open to the public and no tickets are required. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
The Human Experience is the story of a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who is Man? Why do we search for meaning? Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa. What the young men discover changes them forever. Through one on one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit.
The movie, a Grassroots Films of New York production, has been shown at a number of universities and churches and has been well-received for its positive and uplifting message. The Human Experience has also won a number of prestigious awards at prominent film festivals.
