VITERBO’S CHORAL GROUPS TO GIVE EUROPEAN TOUR FAREWELL CONCERT MAY 7
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University’s Concert Choir and Ninth Street Singers will give a European Tour Farewell Concert Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The fundraising concert will feature classical performances from the Viterbo Concert Choir and the Ninth Street Singers. The women of the Concert Choir and the men of the Concert Choir will also give their own separate performances.
The performers will depart on their European tour Monday, May 15. They will visit and perform in Vienna, Venice, Rome, and other cities before returning Friday, June 2.
The choir is an important part of the strong musical tradition of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, the founders of Viterbo University. The choir tours nationally and internationally and is known for its rich sound, beautiful blend, energized tone, challenging selection of literature, and stylistic interpretation.
