The Spitfire Grill to Open at Viterbo March 30
The musical The Spitfire Grill will delight audiences in the Viterbo University La Croix Black Box Theatre Thursday, March 30 to Saturday, April 1 and Thursday, April 6 to Saturday April 8.
“The cast is great,” said director David Gardiner, theatre. “We have some of our best actors and singers in this play.”
Based on the popular film of the same name, The Spitfire Grill is the story of a young woman who is released from prison and finds redemption in a small Wisconsin town. The citizens of the town undergo their own kind of redemption and transformation as well. It has become a very popular musical, Gardiner said.
Karla Hughes, the music theatre department’s newest addition, is the music director for the play. Tickets are $9 for general admission seating. Performance times are 7:30 p.m.
