VITERBO AND WWTC ANNOUNCE NEW DEGREE PARTNERSHIP
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University and Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) have formed a new partnership that will allow students to earn an associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree in business, all in four years.
The agreement has the potential to benefit approximately 1,200 students who are either currently enrolled in these programs or graduated from the programs in 2004-05. The agreement covers associate degrees in eight business programs, and transfers between 54 and 65 credits each.
“This program provides students with the stair steps from high school, to technical college, to an undergraduate program, to even an MBA program, all without losing credits along the way,” said Robert Dean, dean of the Dahl School of Business at Viterbo University.
The program is designed for people who have earned an associate’s degree in a business field from Western Wisconsin Technical College to then transfer their credits to Viterbo University and graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in another two years.
“This agreement gives approximately 1,200 graduates and current students in our business programs the opportunity to transfer to a four-year college,” said Denine Rood, dean of WWTC’s Business Division. “This collaboration speaks to the value of the associate degree and contributes to the overall economy by paving the way for additional baccalaureate degree students to enter the work force.”
