TIEMPO LIBRE BRINGING LATIN JAZZ TO VITERBO MARCH 18

LA CROSSE, Wis. – One of today’s hottest young Latin bands, Tiempo Libre, will bring their high-voltage Latin jazz to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18.

Tiempo Libre is carrying on the rich tradition of the music of their native Cuba. The seven members of the band are Cuban immigrants who have come together to realize their musical dream – to create a new musical style by fusing their diverse talents with a unique mix of jazz, traditional Cuban, and Afro-Cuban music.

Tiempo Libre is on tour to support the release of their CD, Arroz con Magno, and will be performing throughout America. This performance is co-sponsored by Courtyard Marriott and Target, and is supported, in part, by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.

Tickets are $26 for main floor seating, $24 for lower balcony seating, and $19 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo University box office at 608-796-3100
