YAMATO DRUMMERS OF JAPAN COMING TO VITERBO NOVEMBER 6

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Yamato drummers of Japan will bring an amazing and unforgettable experience to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre Sunday, Nov. 6.

Yamato’s performance is inspiring and intensely physical, with a beat ranging from the delicate tapping of falling rain to explosions of rhythmic exhilaration. It combines traditional Japanese musical formats with modern rhythms, complimenting the percussion with cymbals, gongs, flutes, Japanese zithers, and lutes.

The performance is co-sponsored by CenturyTel and US Bank and is supported, in part, by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the state of Wisconsin.

Performance time is 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. Tickets are $30 for seating in the upper balcony. For more information, contact the Viterbo University box office at 608-796-3100
