WINDWOOD PRODUCTIONS PRESENT SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS AT VITERBO APRIL 12
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Join in a night of boisterous fun and romance as Windwood Theatricals presents a rip-roaring stage version of the popular MGM movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers Tuesday, April 12.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers bursts with rambunctious energy, charming comedic turns, show-stopping dances, and wistful ballads as it proves that “Goin' Courting” has never been so much fun.
Millie, a young bride living in the 1850s Oregon wilderness, plans to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law in order to save her own marriage. The brothers, in their enthusiasm, kidnap six women from a neighboring town to be their wives and Millie's plan backfires in a luxuriously comedic adventure of romance and delight.
Windwood Theatricals, established in 2000 by veteran agent Paul Bartz, represents an eclectic blend of mainstream theatrical properties that have been produced on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in regional theaters around the United States.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is co-sponsored by Coulee Bank and La Crosse Graphics Inc. Commercial Printing. It is supported, in part, by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
Performance time is 7:30 p.m. in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. Tickets are sold out. For more information, contact the Viterbo University Box Office at 608-796-3100.
