LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Students from Viterbo University, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Winona State University, Saint Mary’s University, and other schools will share their research accomplishments at the Seven Rivers Undergraduate Research Symposium at Viterbo University Friday, Nov. 5.

Participants will give oral or poster presentations of their research in the natural, health, behavioral, or social sciences. Dr. Steve Callister of the Gundersen Lutheran Foundation will deliver the keynote address.

“The symposium is an opportunity for us to highlight the accomplishments of undergraduates in research,” said Glena Temple, Viterbo biology professor and symposium organizer. “Students put a tremendous amount of time into these projects, and they are performing top-notch research locally and across the country as part of summer internships.”

Members of the public are invited to attend the student presentations, which begin at approximately 1:40 p.m. in Viterbo’s D.B. and Marge Reinhart Center for Ethics, Science, and Technology and will continue until the 5 p.m. awards presentation.

The symposium is sponsored by The Merck Company Foundation and Viterbo University.
