VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO HOST COMMUNITY NURSING CONFERENCE
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- “Nursing Research on the Green,” a community conference for recognizing nursing scholarship and sharing research and clinical practice innovations, will be held in Viterbo University’s Reinhart Center Friday, April 30.
The event is sponsored by Franciscan Skemp Healthcare of the Mayo Health System, Gundersen Lutheran, Pi Phi Chapter -- Sigma Theta Tau International, and the Viterbo University School of Nursing. It is designed for nurses working in any setting and student nurses.
Sean Clarke, associate director of the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research and an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, will give the keynote address. The conference will run from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in room 127. At 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., nursing research poster presentations will take place in the Reinhart Center lower level commons area, where a light snack will be served.
The goals of the conference are to identify strategies for successful research, disseminate clinically relevant research, offer an opportunity for collaborative sharing among nurses, stimulate research interest and practical research questions among clinicians, promote evaluation of research for clinical use, and increase the visibility of nursing education and research.
