ZENON DANCE COMPANY TO PERFORM AT VITERBO
LA CROSSE, Wis.-- Minneapolis-based Zenon Dance Company will perform modern and jazz dance pieces from its repertoire Friday, April 2 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Dance Studio.
The informal concert will feature the work of internationally renowned New York choreographer Bill Young, acclaimed jazz choreographer Cathy Young, and Minnesota choreographer Mathew Janczewski. The Zenon Dance Company has been described as the “standard-bearer of modern movement in Minneapolis” and has earned rave reviews from the New York Times, Village Voice, Dance Magazine, Minneapolis Star Tribune, St. Paul Pioneer Press, and City Pages.
Performance time is 7 p.m. Tickets are a suggested $5 donation. There will be no advance ticket sales.
During their visit, members of Zenon will also be teaching dance students from Viterbo and Misty’s Dance Unlimited. The public is invited to two master dance classes at Misty’s Dance Studio at 571 Braund Street, Onalaska, Thursday, April 1. The intermediate class will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. and an advanced class from 5 to 6 p.m. Prior dance experience is required, but students do not need to have studied modern dance.
