AFRICAN CHILDREN’S CHOIR AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY MARCH 10
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The African Children’s Choir will bring their joyful music to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10.
The music of the African Children’s Choir is a blend of song and dance from throughout the entire continent of Africa, featuring more than 10 languages, unique cultural dancing, and of course, gospel favorites.
Since its formation more than 20 years ago, the African Children’s Choir has spread hope and joy and bridged cultural gaps while shining the spotlight on the AIDS epidemic and the desperate plight of children in Africa. Money raised through donations and ticket sales supports numerous schools throughout Africa, and the establishment of new schools. Donations are also used to support educational scholarships and emergency relief efforts.
This performance is sponsored by Gundersen Lutheran and by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin. It is part of Viterbo’s Bright Star Season.
Tickets are $26 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or www.viterbo.edu/finearts1.aspx.
