ALL THE GREAT BOOKS (ABRIDGED) PRESENTED BY REDUCED SHAKESPEARE COMPANY OCT. 21 AT VITERBO
LA CROSSE, Wis.—London’s longest-running comedy team, the Reduced Shakespeare Company, will unleash a brand-new comic outrage as they present All the Great Books (abridged) at Viterbo University on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
This 98-minute roller-coaster ride covers everything you never got around to reading in school and explores a more compact version of the works of Confucius, Thoreau, Swift, Tennyson, and much more.
Aside from their recent PBS special and National Public Radio spots, Reduced Shakespeare has broken box-office records at the Kennedy Center, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and the Pittsburgh Public Theatre. They have worked on such productions as The Complete Works of William Shakespeare and The Complete History of America (abridged) as well as providing voices for Steven Spielberg’s animated film Balto.
Reduced Shakespeare has appeared on many television shows, including CBS’s Sunday Morning, NBC’s Today Show, and Entertainment Tonight.
All the Great Books (abridged) is sponsored by WIZM-AM 1410 and is supported, in part, by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state of Wisconsin.
Show time is at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. Tickets are $25/19. For information, contact the Viterbo University Box Office at 608-796-3100.
