CELLIST GIVES RECITAL ON JUNE 1

LA CROSSE, Wis.—Caleb Van Buskirk, son of Kevin and Patti, Van Buskirk of Coon Valley, will play his Senior Cello Recital on Sunday, June 1, at 4 p.m. in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

Van Buskirk began studying cello at age eight with Marcella Steffes, FSPA, in the Viterbo University Preparatory School of Arts. He participated in a string quartet at Viterbo under the direction of Busya Lugovier during the last four years.

His program will include numbers ranging from movements of Bach's first Cello Suite to the Ashokan Farewell from Ken Burns' Civil War Documentary. It will also include a violin, flute, and cello trio. Kay Johnston will assist at the piano.

The program is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.
