CELEBRATE THE MUSIC OF BILLY JOEL AND ELTON JOHN WITH THE PIANO MEN AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY FEB. 26
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Piano Men starring Jim Witter will take audience members on a musical journey through the 1970s featuring the songs of legendary recording artists Billy Joel and Elton John at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The Piano Men is a celebration of the decade—year by year and hit by hit. Witter and his band take the audience on a tour of the 1970s, saluting two of the century’s most popular contemporary songwriters. Using rear screen projection, the audience will be transported back to the newspaper headlines, the automobiles, the people, the events, the toys, and the TV shows, that shaped the 1970s.
Witter on the grand piano and great musicians on keyboards, guitar, bass, flute, sax, and drums performing the incredible hits of Billy Joel and Elton John makes for a great evening of musical entertainment.
This performance is part of Viterbo’s NexStar Season and is co-sponsored by Courtyard by Marriot and Travel Leaders and by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
Tickets are $22 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or www.viterbo.edu/finearts1.aspx.
