ART EXHIBIT TO OPEN IN VITERBO ART GALLERY JAN. 21
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The paintings and drawings of Diane Fitch will be featured in a new exhibit opening with a reception from 7:30–9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Gallery.
“Making paintings and drawings from direct observation of figures in their spaces, often using my family as models, is the essential sustenance and source of my work,” said Fitch, a professor at Wayne State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Fitch will also visit Viterbo Thursday, Jan. 22 to provide a working demonstration from 9:30 a.m.–noon in room 301 of the Fine Arts Center and to give a slide presentation from 2:30–3:30 p.m. in room 219 of the Fine Arts Center.
The show will run until Tuesday, Feb. 17. There is no admission fee to the gallery, which is located on the third floor of the Fine Arts Center on the Viterbo campus. The gallery is open 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday when school is in session.
