VITERBO PRESENTS OWN VERSION OF AMERICAN IDOL

LA CROSSE, Wis.—Viterbo University is presenting its own version of the recent hit television show, American Idol.

Sixteen students auditioned for spots in "VU Idol: The Search for Viterbo Star!" 10 of them will go on to compete in the event which will be held Monday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Marian Hall Dining Room on the Viterbo campus.

Admission to "VU Idol" is just $1 and all money raised supports VH-1's Save the Music Foundation, an organization that helps fund music programs in public school systems.

The program features performances by special guests, including Viterbo's own Platinum Edition, and more. There will be a panel of Viterbo "celebrity" judges, but audience members will be asked to help judge for the special "People's Choice Award."
