VITERBO’S PLATINUM EDITION CONCERT IS "TOO DARN HOT"
LA CROSSE, Wis.-- With 21 Broadway tunes centered on life, love, and relationships, as well as a new dance number featuring the entire ensemble, Viterbo’s show choir Platinum Edition is "Too Darn Hot."
Held on the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre Saturday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m., Platinum Edition’s "Too Darn Hot" concert, directed by Viterbo Music Professor Nancy Allen, features songs that include: "The Joint is Jumpin’," "Bandstand Boogie," "Seasons of Love," "I Remember it Well," and "Some Days Ya Gotta Dance."
A 32-member song and dance group, Platinum Edition will be joined by a variety of guest artists including the Riverfront Singers, Irving Pertzsch Fifth Grade Singers, Harmonic State, Apple Annies, Bill Dawson, the Viterbo 9th Street Singers, the Viterbo Women’s Chorale, and Viterbo alumni in an Alumni Finale.
Choreographer’s for the all-ensemble dance number include Viterbo professors Rod Reiner (dance) and Nancy Allen (music); Viterbo students Luke Kritzeck, Julie DeFer, Sara Melchior, Stephanie Pugh, Matt Reis, and Stephanie Urban; UW-Stevens Point student Andrew Cao; and Damon Brown, a professional choreographer from Indianapolis.
