CONFERENCE ON THE LAITY AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY APRIL 21

LA CROSSE, Wis—The First Biennial Conference on the Laity will be held at Viterbo University Saturday, April 21.

The Pastoral Education Program is a combined undertaking of the La Crosse Diocese and Viterbo University. Called "Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Preparing for the Future," the event is expected to draw individuals involved in many aspects of church work including liturgy preparation, pastoral work, religious education, and lay ministry.

The 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. program will include remarks and presentations by Viterbo University President William Medland, Diocesan Chancellor Marlene Weisenbeck, FSPA and Viterbo Religious Studies faculty member Tom Thibodeau. Bishop Raymond Burke will also provide commentary on "The Future of Lay Ministry in the Diocese of La Crosse."
