VITERBO PIANIST TO OBSERVE BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN FEB. 24 RECITAL

LA CROSSE, Wis.—Timothy Schorr, Viterbo University assistant professor of music, will present a Faculty Piano Recital on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

The program will include the Four Impromptus, D. 899, of Franz Schubert; Aaron Copland’s monumental Piano Variations; the Fantasy in F Minor by Chopin, and, in observance of Black History Month, Traceries by William Grant Still.

The recital, to be performed on Viterbo’s recently restored Steinway grand piano is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Viterbo University music department at 796-3760.
