VITERBO UNIVERSITY GALLERY FEATURES WORKS BY JASON LEE
LA CROSSE, Wis.— The Viterbo University Art Department Gallery will feature "‘Static’: A Solo Exhibition of Performative-Based Sculpture" by artist Jason Lee from Wednesday, Jan. 17 through Friday, Feb. 8, with an opening reception on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 7:30-9 p.m.
The show features multimedia installations, which are sculptures that involve video-generated images and incorporate the use of televisions, VCRs, etc.
Lee received his Bachelor of Fine Art degree in sculpture from Kent State University and his Master of Fine Art in sculpture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently the senior carpenter for Scenic View, Inc. in Chicago and a Shop Carpenter for I.D.E.A. Interior Design in Chicago. He is also the co-founder of a performing art group and continues to participate in exhibitions and performances.
The reception is free and open to the public. There is no admission charge to the Gallery, which is located on the third floor of the Viterbo Fine Arts Center on the corner of Jackson and Ninth Streets in La Crosse. The Gallery is open during regular school hours or at other times by request.
The Viterbo University Art Department offers degree programs in Studio Arts, Art Education, and Graphic Design.
