VITERBO NAMES STUDENTS OF MONTH FOR NOVEMBER/DECEMBER
LA CROSSE, Wis.—Viterbo University has named senior Jessica Gosh as Student of the Month for November and freshman Ellen Fargen as Student of the Month for December.
Gosh is a nursing student who has become successfully involved in promoting health issues on the Viterbo campus and in the La Crosse community. Gosh has volunteered on a community committee educating and promoting STD prevention. In addition, she has been active in educating high-risk middle school students and working with the La Crosse Health Department with community outreach. Gosh is from Pittsville and is the daughter of Mark and Joanne Gosh.
Fargen is one of three freshmen elected to the Viterbo University Student Government Association (SGA). She is involved on the Student Involvement Committee and the University Computer Committee and is one of the strongest advocates for her class. In addition, Fargen is a first-year tutor in the Learning Center and works more than 20 hours per week at a part-time job while continuing to receive high praise from her fellow SGA members for her campus contributions. Fargen is from Plain and is the daughter of Thomas and Jean Fargen.
The Student of the Month award is sponsored by the Viterbo Students Excelling in Activities and Leadership (SEAL) committee and is designed to recognize outstanding efforts in the area of student life, work study, student organizations, community service, involvement, and leadership.
