MUSICIAN JIM BRICKMAN TO PERFORM AT VITERBO SEPT. 25

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The 2008–09 Bright Star Season at Viterbo University will open with Grammy nominee and Platinum-selling artist Jim Brickman Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Brickman has revolutionized the sound of adult contemporary music with his pop-style solo piano and the romantic popular song. Best known for his hits Valentine, The Gift, and Love of My Life, Brickman’s outstanding career includes six Platinum and Gold albums and three #1 and 12 top 10 adult contemporary radio hits. In 2005, he held the top three spots on Billboard’s New Age Chart with three of his albums, The Disney Songbook, Grace, and Greatest Hits. In addition to his Grammy nomination for Best Instrumental, he has been honored with a number of prestigious industry awards.

Brickman performs live in more than 125 cities each year, and he has earned international acclaim as a concert performer. This performance is sponsored by Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites with media sponsorship by Wisconsin Public Radio.
