FACULTY RECITAL FEATURES NEWLY REFINISHED STEINWAY

LA CROSSE, Wis.—Jerry Benser, tenor, and Timothy Schorr, pianist, of the Viterbo University Music Department will present a Faculty Recital at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, in the FAC Recital Hall.

Benser and Schorr will perform the monumental song cycles Dichterliebe by Robert Schumann and Chansons Villageoises by Francis Poulenc. Selections from Aaron Copland's Old American Songs will be presented in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth. The extended song Adelaide by Beethoven will round out the program.

The Viterbo Steinway grand piano, which was recently refinished and rebuilt by Joel Lidstrom thanks to the generosity of many donors, will be used for this concert. The recital is free and open to the public with a reception to follow.
