SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED ON NURSING RECOGNITION DAY

LA CROSSE, Wis.—Twenty Viterbo nursing students were awarded scholarships on Thursday, April 27, as part of Student Nurse Recognition Day.

The celebration and award distribution took place during a special event celebrating student nurses for their dedication and efforts.

"This recognition day was a way to acknowledge all nursing students, even those not receiving an award, through fun and camaraderie," said Jane Mrozek, Viterbo nursing instructor.

In addition to students, two area nurses were honored when junior and senior nursing students gave their Nurse Mentor Awards.  The junior class selected Kathy Daily, an oncology/medical nurse, and the senior class chose Theresa Falk, a pediatrics nurse. Both Falk and Daily work at Gundersen Lutheran.
