FORMER HOLMEN PRINCIPAL BEGINS EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP POSITION AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY AUGUST 1
LA CROSSE, Wis.—Bernie Ferry, the just-retired Holmen High School principal, is the new assistant director of educational leadership at Viterbo University.
In the new position, Ferry will be working with nearly 200 graduate level teachers who are studying to become principals and curriculum directors. Viterbo has just added a new program to license graduate teachers who want to direct special education and pupil services programs. Ferry will also assume responsibilities that will touch all areas of the university’s graduate education programs.
Ferry was principal at Holmen High School since 1996 and in all he has spent 38 years in education.
“I look forward to working with Bernie,” said Jim Bagniewski, director of Viterbo’s educational leadership program. “He brings years of educational leadership experience to this new position and he will be able to share many of these valuable experiences with our students.”
