VITERBO AND PLATINUM EDITION PRESENT "A CENTURY OF SONG"
LA CROSSE, Wis.-- Viterbo’s show choir, Platinum Edition, will host its second pops concert this season, "A Century of Song," on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 2p.m.
A montage of American music from the early 1900’s to the present, the concert features everything from vaudeville tunes to "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "My Funny Valentine," and "Thriller."
Performances will be from a variety of groups including: The Riverfront Singers, The Woman’s Chorale, 9th Street Singers, A Faculty/Staff Choral Ensemble, The Apple Annies, Mark and Wendy Mattison, Doug Mahlum, The La Crosse Boys Choir, Viterbo Theatre Arts Chair Susan Rush, and Platinum Edition.
"This concert should prove to be a compelling display of music that dazzled the 20th century," said Nancy Allen, Associate Professor for the Viterbo Music Department.
