NEW VITERBO MUSIC FACULTY MEMBER PRESENTS FIRST LA CROSSE RECITAL

LA CROSSE, Wis.—Viterbo College’s recently appointed Assistant Professor of Music, Timothy Schorr, will present his first public solo piano recital in La Crosse on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Viterbo Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

The recital, which is free and open to the public, includes selections by Beethoven, Debussy and Schumann. There will be a reception in the Fine Arts Center Hospitality suite following the performance.

Schorr, who joined the Viterbo faculty in August, received a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston in 1988. He went on to receive a Master of Music in 1990 and Doctor of Music in 1997, both in piano performance, from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. Prior to joining the music department faculty at Viterbo College, Schorr served as a lecturer in the Preparatory Department of the Conservatory and as a professional coach/accompanist for both the Cincinnati and Dayton Opera Companies. He performed at New York City’s famed Carnegie Hall in 1998.
