MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATRE'S "SLEEPING BEAUTY" IS OCT. 23
LA CROSSE, Wis.—The Missoula Children’s Theatre production of the classic fairy tale, "Sleeping Beauty," featuring performances by La Crosse area children, will be held Saturday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Viterbo Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
"Sleeping Beauty" is a tale in which a princess is condemned by an evil fairy at her christening to die on her sixteenth birthday from a prick on her finger. But a good fairy steps forth and declares that the princess will not die but only sleep, as will the rest of the kingdom, until she is awakened by the kiss of a prince.
Founded in 1970 by Jim Caron who still serves as executive director, the Missoula Children’s Theatre is a touring company that invites children in its host community to be the stars in the show. Its members teach children how to perfect the craft of professional theatre while building self-esteem through experience. The Missoula Children’s Theatre’s mission is to provide quality educational, entertainment, and enrichment experiences through the performing arts.
Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. For more information, contact the Viterbo College Box Office at 608-796-3100.
