VITERBO COLLEGE GALLERY PRESENTS FACULTY ART SHOW
LA CROSSE, Wis.— The Viterbo College Gallery will present a Faculty Art Show Sept. 29 through Oct. 22 with an opening reception on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 7:30-9 p.m.
The show features artwork from members of the School of Fine Arts faculty:
Tom Bartel: Using figurative ceramic sculpture, Bartel’s work examines the relationship between clothing and growth.
Diane Crane: These watercolors feature close-up views of the natural world including ponds and gardens.
Peter Fletcher: Using ink drawing and Gouache or Acrylic paintings on paper, this work is a set of images done during and after cancer treatment. Fletcher uses a mixture of self-portraits and landscape elements to exploring healing.
Ed Rushton: This graphic design work includes typeface design, typographic experiments and work with deconstructed letter forms. Rushton also will display a series of postcard art based on his wife’s recent transplant operation.
Lisa Schoenfielder: This mixed media work uses the monotype process accompanied by drawing and painting.
The reception is free and open to the public. There is no admission charge for entrance to the Gallery, which is located on the third floor of the Viterbo Fine Arts Center on the corner of Jackson and Ninth Streets. The Gallery is open during regular school hours or at other times by request.
The Viterbo College Art Department offers degree programs in Studio Arts, Art Education and Graphic Design.
