BALLET HISPANICO TO PERFORM AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY APRIL 15
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Ballet Hispanico has thrilled audiences around the world and will now bring its magnetic energy and amazing choreography to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre Tuesday, April 15.
From Ballet Hispanico’s stunning and flamboyant style to its hot Latin sounds, everything about the group is smashingly theatrical. Ballet Hispanico fuses ballet, modern, and Latin dance into a critically-acclaimed and spirited image of the contemporary Hispanic world.
Founded in 1970 by artistic director Tina Ramirez, Ballet Hispanico has performed for over two million people during its history and is the most prominent dance representative of Hispanic culture in the United States. The group tours internationally and has performed in major venues around the world. Based in Manhattan, it also operates a school of dance, which is unique in its emphasis on ballet and modern and Spanish dance as its core curriculum.
This event is part of Viterbo’s Bright Star Season and is sponsored by WKBT NewsChannel 8 and by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
