BUCKETS AND TAP SHOES AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY APRIL 8
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The unique company of musicians, percussionists, and rhythm tap dancers of 10 foot 5 will bring their intense performance Buckets and Tap Shoes to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre Tuesday, April 8.
Founded by brothers Rick and Andy Ausland in 1997, 10 foot 5 astounds audiences with their driving rhythms created with five-gallon buckets, metal cans, barrels, found objects, and tap shoes.
Described as “jaw-dropping tap dancing” by a Minneapolis Star Tribune critic, 10 foot 5 strives to transfer the innovation and spontaneity of street performing to the stage.
Buckets and Tap Shoes is part of Viterbo’s NexStar Season. It is sponsored by WIZM 1410 AM and by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
Performance time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $23 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo University box office at 608-796-3100 or www.viterbo.edu/fac.
