LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University has announced four new members will join its Board of Trustees. Trustees serve three-year terms and are responsible for oversight on a variety of issues ranging from budgets to new program development. Joining the board are:

  • Gerald Baldner. Baldner is the founder of Kitchen Solvers, a retail kitchen cabinet remodeling company that has over 130 franchises in 37 states. He also started The Cabinet Factory (now Walzcraft) and Creative Laminates, a casework and countertop manufacturing company.
  •  Karen Kappell, FSPA. Sr. Kappell is a free-lance artist who has taught in middle school, high school, and at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc. She served in Viterbo’s campus ministry department from 1986–91 and also as the formation director for new FSPA members.
  • Amy Kuemmel Connolly. Kuemmel Connolly was the vice president of mergers and acquisitions at Grace Matthews, Inc., in Milwaukee from 2005–07. She was also previously employed as the director of corporate finance at Prudential Capital Group in Chicago.
  • Rev. J. Patrick Murphy. Fr. Murphy is the director of the School of Public Service at DePaul University in Chicago. He has also served at DePaul as an associate professor, treasurer, and secretary to the board. He is an ordained priest and a member of the Vincentian religious community.
