COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY FINANCIAL AID EVENT AT VITERBO FEB. 10

LA CROSSE, Wis. – High school seniors and their families will be able to receive step-by-step help in applying for financial aid at an open house at Viterbo University Sunday, Feb. 10 from 2–4 p.m. on the first floor of the Reinhart Center.

Students will receive information and tips that will be useful in applying for aid at any of Wisconsin’s public or private colleges. The event is part of College Goal Sunday, a nationwide event designed to meet the needs of low-income and first-generation college families in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, an essential first step in attaining financial aid for higher education. Financial aid experts will volunteer their time to help students and their parents access billions in federal and state college aid, which can make earning a college degree possible.

College Goal Sunday will be held at 20 locations across Wisconsin, including Viterbo University in La Crosse. It is sponsored by the Wisconsin Association for Student Financial Aid with a grant from the Lumina Foundation for Education.

The Viterbo event will feature a general financial aid presentation, individual counseling, and application assistance. No registration is necessary.
