AN EVENING WITH GROUCHO AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY FEB. 10
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Actor, director, and playwright Frank Ferrante will present his acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre Sunday, Feb. 10.
Part of Viterbo’s Bright Star Season, An Evening with Groucho will feature Groucho Marx’s best one-liners, anecdotes, and songs. The audience will literally become part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style.
Accompanied by his onstage pianist, Jim Furmston, Ferrante portrays the young Groucho Marx of stage and film. He reintroduces audiences to brothers Harpo, Chico, Zeppo, and Gummo, in addition to Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields, Greta Garbo, Marx Foil, Margaret Dumont, and MGM’s Louis B. Mayer.
Ferrante has been profiled on The Today Show, Aegis, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, and the BBC. This performance is co-sponsored by Fox News and Charter Media.
