LA CROSSE, Wis. – Welcome in the holiday season with traditional carols and stories with “A Viterbo Christmas” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

The first half of “A Viterbo Christmas” will feature musical performances by the Viterbo 9th Street Singers, Platinum Edition, the preparatory music department, La Crosse Boy Choir, and La Crosse Girl Choir. In addition, there will be Christmas poems and readings, and an excerpt from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

The second half of the event will be a performance of Lloyd Pfautsch's A Day for Dancing, a work for choir, dancers, winds and percussion by students from the music theatre and dance departments. Viterbo’s Concert Choir and student soloists will be featured in the work.

“A Viterbo Christmas” is sponsored by Gundersen Lutheran. Tickets are $17 for main floor, $16 for lower balcony, and $13 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo University box office at 608-796-3100 or
