HIGH SCHOOL ART EDUCATORS SHOW TO OPEN IN VITERBO UNIVERSITY GALLERY NOV. 14
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The artwork of local high school educators will be on display in a new show opening in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Gallery Wednesday, Nov. 14.
The exhibition will feature a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork by 13 art teachers from La Crosse Central, La Crosse Logan, Aquinas, La Crescent, Onalaska, West Salem, and Holmen High Schools. The participating artists are Lori Aschenbrener, Joe Beck, Gary Boisvert, Quenten Brown, Nick Dietmaier, Gene Gagnon, Angie Hendriksen, Ron Kale, Liz Schank, Angie Szabo, Monica Treu-Olbert, Mai Chang Vue, and Tami Weiss.
“This exhibition is the Viterbo art department’s way of thanking these teachers for their extraordinary efforts in guiding our art students throughout the years,” said Marilyn Fernandes, Viterbo art faculty member.
The show will begin with a reception at 7:30 p.m. It will run until Friday, Dec. 7. There is no admission fee to the gallery, which is located on the third floor of the Fine Arts Center on the Viterbo campus. The gallery is open 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday–Friday when school is in session.
