THE HOT CLUB OF SAN FRANCISCO TO PERFORM AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY NOV. 4
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Join the all-acoustic string ensemble, the Hot Club of San Francisco, for an evening of sizzling jazz, bebop, blues, Cajun, bossa nova, and gypsy swing music at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The Hot Club of San Francisco is an ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians who will carry the listener back to the small, smoky jazz clubs of Paris.
Led by the superb guitar playing of Paul Mehling, The Hot Club of San Francisco has entertained music lovers for over 10 years, playing in festivals from Mexico to France and in concert halls across North America. Their performance at Viterbo is part of the university’s Bright Star Season.
The band released their self-titled debut CD in 1993. Since then, they have followed it with eight more recordings including The Lady in Red, Veronica, Be That Way, and Postcards from Gypsyland.
