VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO HOLD GRADUATE COMMENCEMENT JULY 13

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Four hundred fifty-eighty students will receive a Master of Arts in Education degree from Viterbo University during a commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, July 13 in the La Crosse Center.

Viterbo faculty member Tom Thibodeau will deliver the commencement address and president Rick Artman will confer the degrees. Tony DePaolo ’05 will give the alumni welcome.

The 458 students will be on campus Monday, July 9–Friday, July 13 to present their research projects and to complete the final requirements needed to earn their Master of Arts in Education degrees.

Area educators and members of the public are invited to join the students for a presentation by nationally known educator, author, and speaker Todd Whitaker, Ph.D., who will present “What Great Teachers Do Differently” in the Viterbo Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 9 a.m. July 13. Whitaker is a professor of educational leadership at Indiana State University and the author of several books widely known in the field of education, including What Great Principals Do Differently and What Great Teachers Do Differently.
